An 1885-CC Morgan dollar in Good (G-4) is worn evenly across its whole surface, and the design reads as an outline rather than a relief: the hair above Liberty’s ear and the cotton bolls in her cap are flat, the eagle’s breast feathers and the tops of its wings show no detail at all, and LIBERTY on the headband, E PLURIBUS UNUM and the date are still readable with the rim beginning to merge into the lettering.
