An 1879-CC Morgan dollar in Very Fine (VF-20) shows clear detail across the whole design with wear on the raised areas alone: the hair above Liberty’s ear and the cotton bolls in her cap are flattened but still separated from one another, the eagle’s breast feathers and the tops of its wings keep most of their major detail, and LIBERTY on the headband, E PLURIBUS UNUM and the date are sharp.
